HOW LONG DO THE HAND PAINTED DRESSES TAKE TO MAKE?

Due to the delicate nature of our hand painted designs, please expect a longer standard lead time for our luxury fabrics to be specially produced. The painting time frame of our designs range between 90 & 180 hours, with an average of 120 hours. but this process is done over several weeks depending on the technique, number of layers and drying time required. Some designs have taken upwards of 360 hours of painting alone!

THE TYPE OF PAINT THAT IS USED

The paint is a proprietary blend consisting of acrylic & latex that has been specially designed and tested in house, to create a natural & gentle stretch to the paint allowing your bride to breath and move without causing any cracking or flaking to the paint.

The paint will not melt, even in extreme hot weather conditions however in some instances the paint may appear to feel tacky to the touch. Special care should be taken when steaming these dresses and if the fabric does become stuck together, this can very easily be pulled apart.

VARIATIONS IN DESIGN

Please be aware that all hand painted dresses have minor variations to the colour. Although we do have a QC process and aim for them to be within a certain production tolerance, some colours may vary slightly. We aim to keep the design placement of our painted flowers in line with one another through each dress, however please be aware that the overall look may vary depending on the dress size ordered.

CAN I STEAM HAND PAINTED DRESSES?

Steaming is possible but with special care!!

Please DO NOT ever use or place an iron directly on to any hand painted fabrics as the paint will melt. Please take extra special care & attention when steaming on Organza. Too much steam can cause the fabric weave to drop between the paint placement of the fabric, and this can create a rippling effect. Avoid over steaming where possible and if you can, attempt to steam from the inside out for those more delicate fabrics.

DRY CLEANING

Spot cleaning ONLY is advised by a specialist bridal dry cleaner for our hand painted fabrics.
