Pauline Dress
A clean, architectural bridal gown cut in Italian Mikado, defined by precise corsetry and a quietly dramatic silhouette.
The bodice is constructed with a straight square neckline and wide shoulder straps, creating a crisp frame across the décolletage. Subtle panel work shapes the torso before extending into a pronounced basque waist, where the structured bodice meets a generously cut full skirt.
The Mikado gives the gown its sculptural character, holding the volume of the skirt while allowing broad, fluid folds to form through movement. From the side and back, the silhouette falls into a long, sweeping train, balancing the restraint of the bodice with a sense of ceremony and scale.
The result is deliberately pared back: a study in proportion, structure and fabric, with the richness coming from the cut itself rather than surface embellishment.
